Sérgio has been a Federal Auditor of the Office of the Comptroller General of Brazil (Controladoria-Geral da União – CGU), since July 1996. As a senior public official of CGU, he has extensive experience in the design and implementation of key policies and initiatives to prevent and fight corruption in Brazil.
Sérgio holds a PhD degree in Management from the University of Bath, in England, and a Master Degree in Public Administration and Public Policy, with distinction, from the University of York, UK. He has been recently elected as member of the Board of Governors of the International Anticorruption Academy – IACA, for a 6-year mandate.
As a Visiting Fellow of Practice at Blavatnik School of Government he will collaborate with research team of the “Building Integrity in Government” on areas of integrity and anti-corruption policies in government.
