The Czech Academy of Sciences held an opening international conference for its project on building integrity in Czech civil service institutions. The meeting in Prague took place under the auspices of the Czech Minister of Transport and the audience included dozens of local civil servants. Nikolas Kirby, Director of the Building Integrity Programme, gave a keynote address on the Value of Public Integrity. It was reported upon in the local media.
The aim of the project “Measures for developing an ethical culture in Czech civil service” is to provide the Czech Ministry of Transport with recommendations for creating and developing a mature ethical culture in the institution. It is a pilot project which should serve as a role model for other ministries of the Czech Republic.
